Named for naturalist William Bartram, who trod these lands in the late 1700's to early 1800's. Apalachicola National Forest. Frequent mowing under privatization of state functions has wiped out this and most other roadside wildflower populations in north Florida. We hope to reverse this cruel "efficiency".
