Our ship, an ex-Russian research vessel about 72 m long and ice-equipped, is in the lower left. I climbed with a party of hikers. I lost my buddy, but went to the top of a dome, alone. I made the rest of the party late for tea. At dinner, I was snubbed. A British woman with a spotting scope later said that I strike a dashing figure running down the mountainside. Southern Greenland. 1998.
